The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Metrorail Transit Plaza will serve as the site for a series of activations, commencing on the King Holiday Weekend of Service on Saturday, January 18, 2025, designed to transform the King Plaza into a “third place” for its neighbors and the community more broadly through an integrated offering of programs, experiences and services that help to create the vision of the Beloved Community Dr. King espoused throughout his life.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend of Service will feature a new event, "The Beloved Community Public Market & Community Fair" at the King Center Plaza Metrorail Station in Liberty City will come alive with culinary masters, artisans, craftsman, performers and entertainers of all kinds.
